You may request access to personal information about you held by CVB by writing to CVB’s Privacy Officer at the address below.  Where CVB holds information that you are entitled to access, CVB will endeavour to provide you with a suitable range of choices as to how you access it (e.g. emailing or mailing it to you).

If you believe that personal information CVB holds about you is incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate, then you may request amendment of it.  CVB will consider if the information requires amendment.  If CVB does not agree that there are grounds for amendment, then CVB will add a note to the personal information stating that you disagree with it.

Marketing and promotion communications

  1. CVB may use the personal information provided to send newsletters outlining news, services, promotional offers or events (both electronic and hardcopy) to you.

  2. Similarly, CVB accepts no responsibility for unauthorised use of passwords, user ID's or any other security mechanism provided to you (if any), other than unauthorised use by CVB’s own staff.
  3. Once the information is collected, CVB will take all reasonable steps to protect that information from misuse, loss or unauthorised access.  CVB will destroy your personal information once it is no longer needed for the purpose for which the information was collected.

  1. From time to time CVB’s website may contain links to other websites.  CVB is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those websites.

Miscellaneous

  1. This policy represents CVB’s policy as at 5 September 2006.  CVB may change this privacy policy from time to time.  Any amendment will be made on a prospective basis, i.e. all information received or retained before the time of any amendment will remain subject to the privacy policy applicable before the amendment.
  2. Although CVB intends to observe this policy at all times, it is not legally binding on CVB in any way.  From time to time CVB may regard it as necessary or desirable to act outside this policy.  CVB may do so subject to any statutory rights you have under the Privacy Act or other applicable legislation.
